How we work
Attorneys in movies are always debating, arguing and talking. However, one of the vital aspects of our work is listening. Paula Bourdenet
Attorney
Paula is a Romanian licensed attorney with more than a decade of professional experience. She served as senior attorney between 2004 and 2010, when she was elected as partner to a regional law firm and completed numerous large-scale transactions in the fields of real estate, intellectual property law, competition law and environmental law.
From 2010 the focus of her work was on cases involving the energy industry, real estate transactions and competition law. Among other things, she acted as lead legal counsel in one of the most interesting investigations opened by the Romanian competition council. Paula has co-authored numerous articles on competition law in publications in Romania and abroad.
In the last two years Paula has accumulated vast and varied experience in Chinese business law. This experience gives her the opportunity to understand Chinese business culture and the convoluted way business is often done in China.
Marius Măgureanu
Attorney
Marius is a Romanian licensed attorney, having acquired experience as a senior attorney from 2005 to 2014 and as partner in a regional law firm from 2014 to 2016, where he was involved in numerous transactions and acted as lead legal counsel in projects involving cross-border project finance, real estate, commercial law, corporate law, competition law and capital markets.
In addition, Marius used to act as a member of the Real Estate and Construction Practice Group, the Competition Practice Group and the Banking and Finance Practice Group. He has acted as speaker on corporate law and real estate law at events in Romania and Austria, such as the Austrian Economic Chambers (WKÖ) and the Akademie für Recht und Steuer (ARS).
He also conducts seminar workshops on topics such as competition law and on the fight against corruption and money laundering. Between 2005 and 2009, Marius co-edited a number of publications in Romania, Austria and worldwide.
